One of our favorite days was this stop at Skagway. It is a small town that wouldn't excite many if they just spent the day there. We didn't. There is a train that goes up to White Pass, a ways into the Yukon, through the Klondike Gold Rush National Park. We didn't take it. I am sure that it is a lovely trip but we rented a car and went for a drive. We drove up the Klondike Highway to White Pass and all the way to Whitehorse (the Capitol of the Yukon) for some lunch. We still saw much of the National Park and we made many stops along the way. On top of it, we had a gorgeous day to view it all.
